About the pendants: Since posting this website, I have changed the satin cords used to 'hang' the pendants for gold and silver memory wire. I still offer cord, should you wish it, or you can opt to put the pendants on your own silver and gold chains.
| *We hope to begin production of hand carved solid silver (99.9%) bracelets with 22k soon to follow. Please check back often!* |
| All the pendants featured on this site are wire-wrapped by hand using sterling silver and 14k r.gold. Every piece is special, and if you look closely, sometimes you will see faces or shapes, making it truly unique. | ![]() |

As most wire artisans know, although many of the components are the same, and similar wire-working principals are used, each artist brings his or her own style to the creation of the piece. While there are specific ways to wrap the different types of cuts, we prefer to find innovative designs, creatively tailoring each piece to compliment the gemstone, turning the end product into original works of art. |
About the earrings:
For generations, precious metal earrings have been manufactured two ways: either commercially, (using molds) through a jewellery outlet; or by the smaller, 'Mom & Pop' entrepreneur. The last few years have seen a surge in this type of business, marking the 'Coming of Age' for the independent business person, and with it a demand for original, quality hand crafted designs.
Our company has added a "twist" to the style of our gemstone earrings, providing our customers with imaginative, creative pieces.
About the wire:
There are several different types of wire available for jewellery making. The most popular ones are sterling silver (.925) and 14k (1/20) gold filled. This should not be confused with gold plated, where a microscopic brushing of 24k gold is applied by electroplating, ( using electricity). This type of wire will lose it's luster within months of continued wear, much the same as gold plated costume jewellery.
Gold filled, or "Rolled gold" wire, to use its alternative term, is a laminate, wherein actual sheets of solid gold (usually12k, 14k and 18k) are fused with a base layer of silver or brass. The laminate is then rolled out afterwards, hence the name. The fraction "1/20" is used to indicate the thickness of the gold sheeting. This wire looks and wears exactly the same as 14k gold because it is an alloy, and will not wear off, however it is much more economical to use. It is also stronger and more resistant to bumps and dents.
A lot of our work is custom designed. Many prospective buyers will look through our selection and ask whether or not a particular piece can be made to their specifications. While it isn't always easy to recognize statements like "I would rather be able to see the stone", or "can you make it look fancier/plainer", we do our best to 'interpret' your visions and provide you with a quality, original, beautiful piece that will last a lifetime.
